Know your DEFENDER

Ownit.Understandit.Drivewithconfidence.

Bring your own DEFENDER and learn what it can really do, with Land Rover accredited and certified instructors beside you.

01Understand what your vehicle can do

Explore the features you may not use every day, from four-wheel drive and suspension settings to cameras and clearance, and understand how they help on the track.

02Take control off road

Practise using steering, throttle and braking with precision. Learn how small adjustments help you maintain traction and feel more settled behind the wheel.

03Put the technology into practice

Move beyond the owner’s manual. Use your vehicle’s off-road modes and assistance systems in real situations, with an instructor explaining what to select and why.

04Learn to read the track

Step out, assess the terrain and plan your line. Practise judging clearance, wheel placement and your approach before driving through a challenging section.

05Get your tyre pressures right

Learn how to choose pressures for the conditions, use a gauge and deflate and reinflate your tyres: practical skills you can use on your next trip.

06Build confidence through experience

Put your learning together on guided off-road sections, with individual feedback and time to ask questions. Understand what you can tackle comfortably and when to take another approach.

A DEFENDER OCTA can wade through a metre of water.

Knowing how to enter, how fast to go and what to check first is the skill. We teach it on the day.

02 / 04 · 9:00am

Understand your DEFENDER

Land Rover accredited and certified instructors take you through your own DEFENDER: the technology, your driving position, Terrain Response and the off-road modes, air suspension heights, and the right tyre pressure for each surface.

03 / 04 · On the trails

Put it into practice

Drive a carefully selected off-road route behind a Lead Instructor, with two-way radios throughout. Use Hill Descent Control and the terrain modes on real ground, and learn how to recover a vehicle safely.

04 / 04 · Lunch, then 4pm

Lunch, and memories to keep

A lunch buffet and refreshments are provided across the day, which finishes at 4pm. The day is captured as it happens, then shared with you so you can keep it, relive it and show the people who matter.

The best seat in the house is the driver's.

Real days. Real faces.

33–38 psi to 18 psi.

Dropping from road pressure to around 18 psi lengthens the tyre footprint on sand, rock and rough tracks.

A longer footprint gives more grip and a smoother ride. Always start from the placard on your own DEFENDER, and re-inflate before returning to the road. We teach the right pressure for each surface on the day.

As fast as necessary,
as slow as possible.
